Compensation - $110,000 - 175,000 base salary plus bonuses and benefits

The Vice President – Wealth Manager is an experienced advisor in the firm and manages existing client relationships. They may develop new client relationships and/or train and supervise other staff members. They are responsible for overseeing our core clients who have a significant impact on revenue for the firm.

A Vice President – Wealth Manager is responsible for conducting client and prospect meetings. He or she can discuss any level of a comprehensive plan that utilizes any advanced planning techniques, regardless of the client’s situation. The Vice President – Wealth Manager will conduct internal meetings with other Wealth Managers and staff members as needed to discuss client cases. Where appropriate, the Vice President – Wealth Manager will coordinate with other professionals as needed to discuss advanced planning.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Client and Advisory Engagement

  • Focus on maintaining over 90% client retention and target engagement for growth opportunities.
  • Develops, prospects and converts prospects into clients to facilitate firm growth that can be from referrals, family, and or community members.
  • Leads, manages, and engages directly with a group of clients to best support their financial planning, investment management, and risk outcomes. Engages directly with clients and is responsible for client retention and relationship management of assigned firm clients.
  • Accountable for client relationships managed and client process within the VP- Wealth Manager responsibilities including oversight and delivery of the TAG Client Experience.
  • Understands client needs by identifying and confirming their objectives, goals, and concerns through the TAG Client Experience. The Vice President – Wealth Manager utilizes planning tools, as well as internal and external resources, all in pursuit of helping clients achieve their goals.
  • Provides guidance and expert advice to management, clients, or other groups outside the organization on technical financial planning and investment planning needs, systems, or process-related topics.
  • Reviews client profiles and investment portfolios at an appropriate frequency to ensure all needs and actions have been met and to identify gaps in their planning.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution to solve client or operational problems, while being accountable for those decisions.
  • Identifies concerns, problems, or opportunities within client profiles, notifying, updating, or correcting the client information prior to it becoming a problem for the firm or the client.
  • Uses relevant information and sound judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Mentors employees to help sharpen their financial planning/investment management knowledge.
  • Observes, receives, and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources, translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used by other Wealth Advisors in serving clients and addressing their needs.
  • Works with-in a team structure that is designed for growth and supports the success of the team and overall organization.

Compliance

  • Complies with all regulatory requirements.
  • Brings any compliance or ethics concerns to management’s attention and Completes all Firm and FINRA educational requirements on time.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • CFP® required or similar designation approved
  • Series 7, 66, and Life/Health Insurance License
  • 6-12 years direct advisory focus
  • Proficient in complex financial planning and development of complex client cases
  • Pursuit of advanced designation/degree encouraged (CIMA, CPWA, CFA, etc.)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, empathy and listening)
  • Extensive knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and modeling, specifically to HNW clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of investment advisory regulations required
  • Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty, and can deal with confidential information
  • Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services industry
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
